The country’s Social Insurance Institution has recorded a doubling of the length of such leave. While fathers took only about 10% of their parental leave in 2020, this figure has increased to 20% in the first half of 2024. The Act on Equal Distribution of Parental Leave, which was passed at the end of 2021, has become a catalyst for this change.
